La Phyto-piega. Per un’ontologia vegetale

Abstract

This essay explores the possibility of reading and interpreting plant lifein the light of the philosophical concept of the fold. This notion isdrawn primarily from the thought of Gilles Deleuze and, secondarily,from the most recent work of Levi R. Bryant, within thetheoretical framework of Object-Oriented Ontology. Starting from thepossible implications arising from the notion of the fold, I argue that itmay represent the general model of plant organisation,reflecting its transformative, regenerative and relational characteristics.
