A discussion of Patrizia Laspia, Aristotele e la teoria dell’universo vivente. Palermo University Press, Palermo 2026. The paper argues that Aristotle represents a radical anomaly in the panorama of ancient natural philosophy and his philosophical project cannot be reduced to the one of his predecessors.
